Police Motorcycle Skills Competition at Cabela's, Buda (TX) April 1-2, 2016

There's no indication that any of the events involve the use of a ball-point pen, but instead events are designed to feature safe and precise operation of the motorcycle.

If they did have a citation-writing event, we know a few potential competitors who would be "10-8 with multiple 'fours'", (to borrow a phrase from Jean Shepard) "faster than a jack rabbit on a date".

We won't be able to attend, but we will be there in spirit.

If you are in the area, why not plan to stop by? At the very least, plan on driving safely.

All the police activity may make a few people nervous. But, as I have been observed saying, a time or two, "You can learn a lot about paranoia, just by following people around"

Here's the direct information.

Be safe. Be well.

The COTPMCO is a family spectator event that is FREE to the public. This exciting event is a Police Motorcycle skills competition and exhibitor show where the public can see the precision riding skills of police motorcycle officers from around the U.S. and Canada. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Center for Child Protection & the Sunshine Kids Foundation. Over the past two years the event has raised over $36,000 for charity and hosted competitors from across the United States. This year, we are excited to welcome more than 120 competitors from 11 different states, including a team from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

In addition to several days of police motorcycle skills competitions, there will be an exhibitor show, stunt riders, music, and a chance to win three great prizes.

Be sure to bring a chair, pop-up tent and sunscreen—there is plenty of space
