River levels will holdsteady or rise slowly overnight before receding on Thursday.* Ice jams are very unpredictable and can break up, move and jamagain very quickly. Water backing up behind the jam is the mainflood threat, and can flood areas under deep water withsurprising speed. Favored ice jam locations are where a riverbends or slows, at bridge abutments, or near islands, sand bars,and other obstructions to river flow.* Some locations that will experience flooding include...Fort Covington, Bombay, Westville Center and Fort Covington Center.
