The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act) requires employers to comply with hazard-specific safety and health standards. In addition, pursuant to Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act, employers must provide their employees with a workplace free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm. Emergency Preparedness Guides do not and cannot enlarge or diminish an employer's obligations under the OSH Act.

Williamson County brush fire August 8th 2008 Grass fire burns thousands of acres Florence Texas
Submitted by cheryl on Thu, 08/28/2008 - 15:52.The Volunteer Mobile Emergency Response Unit was dispatched to Hwy 195 and SR 241 in Williamson County on August 8th 2008. We responded at 1720 Pm and were on scene until released by the IC(incident command)at 0940 on August 9th 2008.
The report is as follows:
A large fire in Williamson County Thursday afternoon threatened dozens of homes.
